Tastes better than you'd think! I did not create this juice thinking I was being original by any means. What I really was excited about was taking my Breville juicer out of it’s box (where it had been hiding for nearly 5 years on top of my washer dryer) and recreate the digestive wonders this powerful juice beholds. In all reality, I have been hearing about the benefits of celery juice for months and have even drank it over the years. I don’t necessarily dislike natural juices (especially with a heavy, earthy taste) — it’s more that I can’t sit with the idea of spending nearly $10 for a drink that I know cost nearly nothing to make. I just was being lazy, and not taking advantage of my personal juicer at home. With some research, and an itch to try to juice again, I discovered some really awesome health benefits of consuming roughly 16oz of fresh celery juice first thing on the morning. You can check off your some of your daily beauty, wellness, immunity and mental health needs when you consume the nutrients included in celery juice. Aside from containing almost all essential vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and electrolytes required for regulating the daily natural and optimal functions of our body, here’s a look at what else you get in a fresh, straight-up green celery juice in the am:
Many of the articles I read state that straight up celery juice is all you need, so below are two versions you can try at home. One is a little more jazzed up for flavor. I'll continue experimenting to see what else tastes great with it! Celery Juice:
DIRECTIONS: Clean celery and chop in three pieces each. *Blend or juice and drink fresh. *If using a blender: Pour pulp from celery into cheese cloth or a strainer and push/squeeze out excess juice. Celery Juice Tonic:
